Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of VoteOut at voteout.xyz (“the Service”). By using the Service, submitting a listing, or voting, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
VoteOut is an entertainment product. Anyone may pay to display a website on a public board of at most 50 entries. Visitors vote to keep or remove each entry. When an entry's countdown expires, the votes cast at that moment determine whether it is removed from the board or moved permanently to the Honor Roll. 2. What you are buying
A payment buys a display slot in a public vote. It does not buy placement, visibility, traffic, a minimum duration beyond the stated countdown, protection from removal, or any outcome. Removal by vote is the intended and ordinary operation of the Service.
- Entry: $30 per listing.
- Countdown: 24 hours, starting when the board first reaches 50 entries or when your entry is promoted from the waitlist.
- Extensions: $20 per hour, with no upper limit.
- Waitlist: entries are ordered by amount paid, and amounts are shown publicly.
3. Fees are non-refundable
All fees, including entry fees, extension fees, and bid increases, are final and non-refundable once paid. This includes the case where your listing is voted off the board, whether that happens minutes or days after payment. You confirm this understanding by ticking the boxes shown before payment, and we retain a record of those confirmations together with the exact wording you were shown.
The one exception: if we take payment but cannot place your listing at all — for example the domain was banned or claimed by someone else while your payment was in flight — we will refund that payment in full. Contact hello@voteout.xyz with your order id.
4. Ranking disclosure
Position on the board, in the queue, and on the Honor Roll is determined by payment and by public votes. Nothing on this Service is a review, an endorsement, a certification, or an assessment of the quality, safety, or legitimacy of any listed website. We do not verify listed sites.
5. What you may list
You may only submit a website you own or are authorized to submit. You may not submit another person's profile, page, or content in order to expose them to a vote. Listings must comply with the Content Policy. We may remove any listing that breaches these terms, without a refund.
6. Domain identity and permanent bans
Listings are identified by registrable domain (for example example.com), determined after following redirects and stripping query parameters. Subdomains, paths, and tracking parameters do not create a new identity. If a domain is voted off the board it is permanently ineligible for listing, and attempts to re-enter it under a different URL that resolves to the same domain will be rejected or removed without a refund.
7. Voting
Voting is free. One vote per visitor per listing, and votes cannot be changed. We use a browser token and a device fingerprint to prevent casual repeat voting. We do not guarantee that the vote is proof against determined manipulation, and vote totals are provided as-is for entertainment. We may discard votes that we believe to be automated or coordinated abuse.
8. No gambling, no prizes
Payments buy a display service. There is no pool, no wager, no payout, and no prize. Nothing of monetary value is won or lost based on the outcome of a vote.
9. Availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is” and may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. We may adjust prices, the board size, or the mechanism; changes apply to listings purchased after the change. If we discontinue the Service entirely, listings then on the board with a running countdown will be given notice by the means we have available.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost traffic, reputational harm, or any indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
11. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider acting as merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to that provider's terms, and your receipt and any tax documentation come from them.
